The Wellbeing Alliance

Wave Only Alliance.png

The Wellbeing Alliance is the regional partner forum at the heart of the Barossa Wellbeing Project. It brings together organisations, services, community leaders and advocates from across the Barossa to support shared learning, regional collaboration and coordinated community wellbeing responses.

The Alliance supports strategic discussion, partnership building and advocacy but does not operate as a form Council decision-making body.

Our Focus

The Wellbeing Alliance focuses on the issues, opportunities and connections that sit across the whole Barossa community - not just within a single lifespan group or service area. Current focus areas include:

  • Aligning effort across the Wellbeing Network - ensuring the four Lifespan Action Groups are connected and working toward shared goals

  • Reducing duplication and filling service gaps identified through the engagement process and ongoing data

  • Supporting advocacy - bringing a collective voice to issues that require system-level responses

  • Building the capacity of the Network - supporting members with information, connections and resources

  • Staying connected to the data - using community insights, the AEDC, ABS Census and other evidence to inform direction

  • Celebrating progress and making the work visible across the community

The Alliance’s focus areas are reviewed at each forum and updated in line with the Barossa Wellbeing & Inclusion Plan 2026–2031.

The Alliance Committee provides leadership and coordination for the broader Alliance forum. Members represent a cross-section of sectors and bring a regional, systems-level perspective to the work.

The Alliance Committee meets quarterly and includes representatives from community organisations, services, government agencies and community leaders connected to wellbeing outcomes across the Barossa region. Participation may evolve over time depending on projects, priorities and emerging regional needs.

Governance & Support

The Alliance acts as a regional connection point for organisations, services and community leaders across the Barossa.  Council supports the Alliance through governance, coordination, connection and enabling functions that help the Network operate and grow.

Formal governance arrangements and Terms of Reference for the Wellbeing Network are continuing to evolve alongside implementation of the Wellbeing & Inclusion Plan.

The Wellbeing Alliance forum meets quarterly and is open to all Alliance members. The Alliance Committee meets as needed between forums to progress actions and respond to emerging issues.
