Adults Lifespan Action Group

The Adults Lifespan Action Group brings together people from across the Barossa community who are committed to improving health, wellbeing and connection for adults aged 25 to 54. The committee includes members from allied health, community services, disability, wellness, business and the broader community.
Adults are often the invisible middle of wellbeing conversations — past the early years focus, but not yet in the older adults frame. This group exists to change that. It recognises that how adults are supported to live well, stay connected and access help when they need it has a profound impact on families, workplaces and communities.
The group works to identify gaps, develop actions and advocate for an approach to adult wellbeing that is inclusive, practical and grounded in what the Barossa community has told us matters most.
Our Focus
A strong Barossa depends on adults who are supported, connected, and able to contribute. The Adults Lifespan Action Group exists to advocate for the people and systems around adults are strong enough to deliver that.
Our work focuses on:
addressing the real barriers adults face in accessing mental health, health, and community services
reaching the people who are hardest to reach -- including men, carers, seasonal workers, and those experiencing economic hardship
supporting the community infrastructure that connects people, including the volunteer organisations that have sustained this region for generations
advocating for practical solutions to transport as the single biggest barrier to participation and access.
The Barossa is only as strong as the people living in it right now.

Governance & Support
The Adults Lifespan Action Group is community-led and Council-enabled, bringing together community members, organisations and service providers to shape priorities and support collaborative action. Council provides the structure, coordination, resources and connections that support the group to operate, while priorities and actions are shaped through community voice and shared participation. The group contributes to the implementation of the Barossa Wellbeing & Inclusion Plan by helping turn community priorities into tangible actions through collaboration and shared contribution.
